  • write in the first person point of view
  • include dialogue and use of quotations
  • use vivid language to describe their event
  • include an opening and a closing to their writing

Prompted Writing

Students will also be working on prompted pieces, where students must continue or add to the scenarios given to them. This skill will be very important in the CAASPP. Students will be able to:
  • add an opening
  • add a closing
  • continue the story
  • write in the point of view given
