Farmhouse Rules

There are 10 very easy and simple rules to follow in our classroom. It's "Easy Peasy like Mac & Cheesy"!!!

Remember: Rules help reinforce a structured, positive, and safe learning environment so that the chances of every child learning is optimized and distractions are minimized. After all, we are in school to learn and rules of the "farmhouse" help us do so!

A Great Job behavior log means that the student had a great day in class & school. The student followed all of the classroom rules and our school wide rules.
Picture
A Ready to Learn behavior log means that the student had a good day. He/she may have gotten a warning to correct behavior and the behavior was corrected. We start our days on Ready to Learn, and we get our clips moved up or down from there, based on classroom and school wide behaviors.

An Think About It behavior log means that the student had received multiple verbal warnings already. The student had to use a cool down/break time to reflect on how they can make better choices the next time he/she encounter a similar situation.

A Teacher's Choice behavior log means that the student had warnings, loss of classroom privileges and still did not correct his/her behavior. A phone call, Dojo message, or note sent home with the parents will be made. Depending on the severity of the issue, there may be a referral written or a behavior log. The student may also be sent to the Principal, Vice-Principal, or Dean of Discipline's Office depending on the severity of the issue.

Positive Behavior

There are many great incentives for students who follow the classroom rules. To reward these students who follow the rules on a consistent basis, we have raffle tickets for students to shop in the classroom's behavior binder, table points to encourage teamwork and cooperative learning, be the "Classroom Student of the Month", positive praise from teachers and parents, and the most important incentive of all...LEARNING and being an ACTIVE PARTICIPANT in the classroom!
